The Islands
A visit to Guernsey is really four holidays rolled into one - each of the four main islands has a character and pace of life all of its own.
That diversity extends to eating and drinking so, whatever your taste, we’ve got it. Whether it’s a hearty meal in a local pub, fresh lobster in a rambling summer garden, à la carte luxury or a family beach picnic then, rest assured, your perfect island is here.
Herm Island: Herm Island is very popular with locals and visitors alike. Twenty minutes away by regular ferry, or a lot less in a private boat.
As well as Herm being a beautiful peaceful island, it is popular for lunch and dinner. Catch the ferry and eat at the Captain's Table at the White House Hotel. Alternatively, have a more informal meal at the Black Rock Grill at the Mermaid Tavern, or take a picnic and have a day on one of the enchanting beaches.
Sark: A scenic 45 minute ferry trip to the Isle of Sak is a must.
Famous for not having any traffic, it is equally well known for its cream teas, with local Sark cream, and lobster lunches, freshly caught from Sark shores.
Sark has a mix a eateries ranging from restaurants with award winning chefs to the more casual crab sandwiches on The Avenue.
Alderney: The tranquil island of Alderney is the cloest of the Channel Islands to France and can be easily reached from Guernsey by a short plane ride.
Alderney has a great variety of restaurants and some great scenery to admire whilst enjoying lunch or dinner.
